When I first started working on this story it had been a long time since I had inked anything. The penciling was super simple and easy I wanted to have this old time hatching look. Well long story short, it was a constant struggle and what came out was not my preference. The line work was jagged, the look on the martians reflective shirt not so strong, his eyes just not working. The thing is having not liked the trouble and disappointments on my technique I am always glad to have finished. In truth we have to “screw up” a lot to get things right. Specially the more stubborn of us. What’s important though is to finish what you start and not give up. Whatever you can finish you’ll have an easier time looking back at whatever went wrong.
This idea, of the vending machine, I probably got from the one we have at the old 350 Jordan Rd. office of Vicarious Visions. It sure knew to make you work for those snacks.

I love the fact that even though advanced alien technology exists aliens stll can’t get a vending machine to work without some form of frustration. Hilarious!
