I’m not sure how I came about the hidden spikes power. I think it had to do with the way the chest looked like folds. I like to think there is a finite amount of them. After  a while Auriga would be depleted and be forced to rely on its energy weapon.

It’s hard for me to say if I ever decided if Bermuda’s spit on panel 3 was flammable or acidic. All I know its that it is pretty hot by the time I get to panel 4. I like to think it’s one of those substances that ignites when it comes in contact with the oxygen in the air like uranium and other pyrophoric substances.

That said there is as much magic science behind this goop as there is for  the acid bleeding Aliens from the movies. If you do enjoy crazy animal powers  I give you a bombardier beetle which shoots boiling hot liquid when threatened. Miracle of nature or too many jalapeños in it’s diet? You be the judge.
