Sorry for the late update. I was out of internet access for some time.
The environments in this comic were based on alleys and the buildings here in Albany.
I didn’t want a big NY City feel for the book but rather a small town.
You won’t find sky scrapers or tons of pedestrians on the street.
Another detail is the hills seen sometimes in the distance and later on as part of the actual story.
Great lighting on the last two frames! I love how it’s the same scene with all the garbage removed but Hops is STILL passed out in the bushes, feet visible
True story. One time the gang and I went to work out in Washington Park pretty early in the morning. After doing push ups and crunches we noticed a guy sleeping under a bush just a few feet over. We moved to a new spot. It was kind off creepy and also felt like we would be rude to wake him.
