I had been thinking about this bit of the story for a while before settling on the roof of a club.

The picture gives hops a clue for the case.

At one point it would be a ship yard, a junk yard or an abandoned theme park.

In the end the club roof scene seen here made most sense. With the least explaining.

I always knew mustang would find it in the dead man’s room which turned out to be in a hotel room. At one point I thought it could be in an apartment.
